This is such a great idea to have a place our class can come to see where and how far we've all come. It's encouraging to see so many participants.
We live in Charlotte, NC and I'm in my third year teaching teachers at UNC Charlotte. I took a little time off after getting my BS at ASC (now AASU) and before getting back to school. Met my wife (who is from NC) in Atlanta, moved to Cary (Raliegh) and then Greenville, NC (ECU), and settled, for six years, in College Station, TX. Finished school at Texas A&M (whoop!) and got a position a little closer to home. It's good to be back. I still get people that say "oh yeah, you're from Texas, right?" I'm always quick to correct them letting them know that I'm from Savannah (no need to mention the state...they know). "Oh, I just love Savannah" is the most common response.
My wife and I had our first (Sarah) while we were in TX. Four years later, Jackson was born here in Charlotte. They are both such a blessing. Sarah's smart but social (translated: gets in occasional trouble at school) and Jackson's getting to a really fun age. I look forward to keeping in touch with many of you.
